Why Come to Kansas City Market Center?

Why come to Kansas City Market Center when you can go to larger markets in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, or even Las Vegas? In Kansas City, we have 46 different candle companies to choose from. In Atlanta? Over 300candle companies to choose from. So if you need more than 46 candle companies to choose from, you should probably go to Atlanta. But, if 46 candle companies suffice your quest for candles, then maybe a few other points about Kansas City should be considered as well. We are:

Less Expensive

Geographically More Convenient

Not as Overwhelming

Have Local Representation

Midwest Tradition

Friendliness

One Level Shopping

Courtesy Valet Parking

Safety

Shopping Convenience

And More!

Since our Association began in 1965, we have hosted more than 200 Gift Shows with more than 500,000 shoppers, and thousands and thousands of manufacturers. If you have attended one or more of these shows, Thank You! If you haven't attended yet, October 3-6 is right around the corner! Come see us!

Outdoor Living Space is Going to the Next Level....

The constant rise in Outdoor Living Spaces are steady and on the rise as most home owners find not only "Comfort" but that "extra needed space" without the expense of enclosures and additions.

Americans have moved past the mentality that you must live in that much desired tropical climate to invest in luxury of enjoying all the amenities while you are in a five-star resort somewhere off the coast of Mexico.  New and existing homes are focusing more and more on those luxury items used indoors to be constructed for the outdoor elements - such as Outdoor Fireplaces, drapes, appliances, water resistant plasma TV's and furnishings you would think belong in a fine hotel lobby.  Not only do we find these spaces to be inviting and relaxing at our convenience but, we associate all the past and present memories of those special events and gatherings with family and friends on our new "beefed up" outdoor spaces.

So throw out that resin table and chair and have fun with remodeling that deck or patio into your own getaway...and much to your surprise you will find yourself more often getting a glass of water out of your refrigerator outside more than in!

ARE YOU GREEN?

We don't mean green with envy!  Everywhere you look you see more and more ads promoting "Green" products.

A few years ago you didn't hear much about recycled products in the home decor and design industry even though they were there.  More and more designers and manufactures are moving are moving towards one common goal, to promote products designed or manufactured with the planet in mind.

The reason "Green Design" is becoming more and more popular is the reaction to the global "environmental crisis" by the rapid growth of economic activity and the increasing human population as we are living longer because of advanced medical technology therefore, we are being harder and using more resources on what we call home.  With "Green Design" in place this will hopefully be the direct means of reducing or eventually eliminating these impacts while maintaining quality of life.

Call it a trend or being responsible.  Even the Academy Awards announced they are now "Green".

With all this being said as a designer myself I know that I'm not alone in this challenge as more and more "Green" choices are available.  So next time you start working with a client just hit the Internet or ask your local supplier..."Are you Green?"
