Who may enter the Kansas City Market Center?
WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, only approved registered businesses, owners &
buyers.
Exceptions are: spouses, 1 additional immediate family member, or traveling companion
for lone buyer traveling 2 hours or more.
No guests.
No children under the age of 12 and No strollers.
What is required to register?
To register business and owners, copy of each for each:
- Copy of State Sales Tax Registration Certificate.
- Business Check imprinted with Company Name.
- Business Card imprinted with Personal Name and Company Name.
- Photo ID (Driver's License).
How can I register?
To register your business, yourself (Owners) and Buyers:
Fill out and return our Registration Form along
with the required documentation listed above in the previous section. You can email,
mail, or fax all this back to us. An account will be set up within 48 hours of us
receiving your request.
Why are children under the age
of 12 not allowed into the Mart?
Our goal is to provide and maintain a professional business atmoshpere. The layouts,
showrooms and displays within our facility are not structured towards children and
strollers. If your child must accompany you to Kansas City, please make plans for
childcare during your Mart visit hours. (The Kansas City Market
Center does not
supply childcare service.)
When is the Mart open?
January to Thanksgiving, Market Monday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Kansas City Market
Center office
hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday
except for scheduled show dates. Market Monday is held each week, excluding legal
holidays, all permanent showrooms are required to be open. Tuesday through Friday, some showrooms are scheduled to be open and the rest may be open by appointment.
Are State Tax and Credit Reference sheets required?
Yes. Especially when opening a new account with a new manufacturer.
Manufacturers
may require both State Tax number AND credit references. Come prepared for both.
Credit Reference sheets should list your bank and other accounts with whom you have
established credit.
